Real Techniques Stippling Brush, £10.99 HQhair
I'm sure a lot of you have heard about Real Techniques make up brushes. There's a lot of buzz around them. Up until now I'd been using a mixture of Mac, Sigma and No7. I've been happy with each of those brands but it's always nice to try something new. I recently lost my Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki which I've used daily as a stippling/buffing brush for foundation. This gave me the perfect excuse to purchase the stippling brush by Real Techniques.
The brush head is smaller than I imagined and not as densely packed as the Sigma F80. I've been testing it out with various foundations and am delighted with the result. It really does help you achieve that polished, flawless, almost airbrushed look! I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this brush and I'm now dying to try the rest in the collection. On a side note, I tried the Liz Earle Signature Foundation last week with no primer and with using my fingers to apply and blend rather than a brush. The result was even better which just goes to show a brush isn't always the answer for every product!
Victoria discovered that the Real Techiques collection is being sold via iHerb for exceptionally cheap prices. Quite amazing really. I'm tempted to buy the whole lot. I can personally vouch for iHerb, having purchased various supplements and health foods from them over the years. Shipping to the UK is cheap and fast, just be aware of any potential customs charges if your purchase exceeds a certain amount (I think it's around $23 - anything below that should be ok but please do your own research! If your order is higher than this you pay 20% VAT on top when the order arrives in the UK) Use code YUF326 FOR $5 off your order (no minimum spend). For example, using this code the blusher brush will cost me $7.99/£5 shipped to the UK which is half the price it's selling for in the UK. Bargain, huh?! Good find Victoria!
p.s my little glass brush holder is actually a £2 candle holder from IKEA. It's a perfect place to keep brushes and the heavy weight patterned glass makes a nice addition to my dressing table!
I really want to try these brushes! x

I've always wanted to try the Real Techniques brushes, but it's hard to get them in Canada :( I'll be in the UK in October, so I'll have to stock up on them then ;)
ReplyDeleteYou can order from iHerb hun (much cheaper than UK) - all the info is in the post above :)
DeleteI have the expert face brush, soo good! I'll need to buy more of them :)
ReplyDeleteSince seeing so many people rave about them on the internet I've really wanted to try the Real Techniques brushes! Not sure I can justify it though because I already have a fair few MAC ones.. you may have tempted me though!

The Real Techniques brushes have slowly been taking over my brush collection but I haven't really heard much about the stippling brush and usually use the buffing brush (or my fingers) to apply foundation. After reading your post the rational part of me is fully aware that I don't really need another but I think it may be swayed by the iHerb deal. Thank you for the excuse! x Becky

I always used to use fingers for foundation but this stippling brush is just superb, I've been in love with it ever since I bought it. I also have the powder brush and the shading brush which are also great. Next on the list is the core collection!

I used to use this for foundation and then moved onto the buffing brush and more recently the sigma f80. But having said that this is not left unused as it is perfect for cream blush or powder blush!

Love that brush holder idea! I need to invest in a liquid foundation brush - will try one of these if they have one. I've just published my valentines post (mainly an excuse for me to research photos of david beckham in his underwear..) would love it if you took a look. xxx
