Recently, I chatted about needing to declutter the mountains of beauty products I have stored here there and everywhere. Well, I did declutter and here's me being all organised. I loved the concept of the Essentials collection by Aerin Lauder and simply decided to create that for myself.
Having purchased this small acrylic storage container from eBay (search 'acrylic makeup storage' if you'd like to try it for yourself) I bundled together my current daily essentials - those items that I use for my everyday face. To have it all grouped together like this has made getting ready in the morning much easier. Now I just need to discover the best solution for the rest of my stash. I wonder if a huge acrylic drawer unit might be the answer, with a separate draw designated to eyeshadows, nail polishes, lip products and so on.
How do you organise your beauty products?
Products I'm using: Liz Earle Signature Foundation (review) and blush (review), Laura Mercier Foundation Primer, Bobbi Brown Concealer, Tweezerman tweezers, Palmers Cocoa Butter lip balm, Benefit The Porefessional, my perfect red lipstick (featured), Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie (review), Lancome Juicy Tube in Fraise, Revlon Lipgloss in Pink Pop, Max Factor Lash Effect Mascara, Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer, Max Factor Eyebrow Pencil, Simple Eye Makeup Corrector Pen, Rimmel Eyeliner Pencil, Avon Perfect Wear Liquid Liner.
This looks so clean, tidy & organised. Heading straight to ebay to find something similar. I keep meaning to sort out my dressing table and make up alwways just ends up sprawled across everywhere!
ReplyDeleteThis looks well organised! I store my collection in dressing table for a years now - but I find it the most handy and tidy:)
ReplyDeleteI have something very similar to this!
ReplyDeleteI have a little acrylic 'pen pot' for my brushes, then a tidy like yours for my essentials then a little set of drawers for the overflow. I also have this little shelf thing which sits over the top which holds all my perfumes etc. means I can pull the drawers out easier as on mine the top drawer is actually a lid :p
Amber
Sounds perfect Amber! Organised girl :)
DeleteI have no organisation when it comes to my make up collection I really need to sort it out

I love acrylic storage, it just looks so neat and sophisticated! :)

I agree, definitely looks pretty cool!
DeleteI desperately need to invest in one of these! I'm a neat freak and just have everything laid out on my bedside table which takes up waaay too much room. Thanks for the tip!

This is such a good idea! Mine isn't really really organised but I have drawers labelled "Tools and brushes", "Face", "Eyes", "Lips" and "Nail varnish" and that seems to work pretty well for me. Then I keep my everyday makeup in a makeup bag so it's all there when I need it :)
ReplyDeleteLouisa's Notebook
Erm, you sounds very organised! Give yourself credit ;-) xo
Deletethis looks great :) definitely need to find a better way of storing my make up as at the moment i just keep it in my make up bag, this would be much easier!
ReplyDeletethanks for this great idea i will definitely look into it :) ahaa
xx
You're welcome! xo
DeleteLooks great, I need somewhere to store my everyday make up and this would be great idea. I store my makeup in a set of 6 plastic drawers. :) x
ReplyDeletebluebutterfly80.blogspot.co.uk
I did store mine in a plastic chest of drawers, one for lips, eyes, face and miscellaneous. I have to say thoug that if you buy a big one, you will find stuff to fill it! I'm now trying to streamline my collection, and would like someting classy, like the acrylic storage.
ReplyDeleteOh I would definitely find enough stuff to fill it. My collection is currently insane. Need to be ruthless and throw out some!
DeleteI use acrylic storage for some of my beauty products and old feelunique boxes to store my blushes and other face bits. I don't have tons and tons of make up so it suits me fine :)
ReplyDeletefashioncrossing.blogspot.com
I remember the feelunique boxes - they were really nice, so great idea to use them for makeup storage :)
DeleteI love how you set everything out, really simple but looks gorgeous. I don't own that much make up so something like this would be perfect for me! xxx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely perfect if you don't have much, or even if you have a lot like me at least this is a good method for keeping the essentials to hand. Thanks for stopping by Jess :) xo
DeleteI need to get one of these! It looks so neat and tidy compared to my make up which is all over the place! It's looks so cute!

I'm looking into getting acrylic storage too, I'm so excited to be able to easily access all my makeup (how sad is that?) haha xx
ReplyDeletethelittlekoala.blogspot.com
Definitely going to check that out on eBay, I've ben thinking for a while now that I want to kind of, 'upgrade', my make up storage, and I think acrylic containers will be a good way to go with things. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the lipstick ones :) I don't think my makeup is overally cluttered at the moment, I have some drawers like this and in general I have a small makeup collection. I almost want to expand it though so I can get a lipstick pot, I just think they look lovely xx
ReplyDeleteThe lipstick ones are gorgeous! That's a good idea actually - maybe I could get one to house all my lipsticks in one place. Hmmm, something to think about :)
DeleteJust about to order one:)! I have been meaning to buy one for a while now but with it being a New Year and all.. I think it's about time! thank you for the post:)! ✿ xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteYay! Let me know how you like it and if it works out for you xo
Deletelove this, ive seen lots of them and they always look so simple and polished and such a easy way to store everything :D
ReplyDeletehttp://www.thelilywhiteenglishrose.blogspot.com
You're right... they do look simple and polished and I think that's what was appealing for me. I like it!
DeleteI love this little setup, it's so cute! As of the moment, my makeup collection is small enough to fit in just one 3-drawer system (a drawer each for face, eyes, lip products) but I'm always on the lookout for great storage solutions.

Love this, it looks so neat and tidy! Very organised. I was tempted to tidy up all my nail varnishes, however i like them on display as all the colours look pretty!
ReplyDeletePlease go and read my posts as well as this one I am only new and please follow lovin this blog aswell
ReplyDeleteI keep all my makeup in a four drawer stack-a-rack! It's really easy and helps me keep everything organized. I have my eye products (mascara, liner, shadow etc) in the top drawer, then lips, then nails (as I have a LOT of nail varnishes) and finally everything else (brushes, powder, concealer etc) in the bottom drawer. My facial cleaner (which I use twice daily) is on the top of the whole container!
ReplyDeleteIt was super easy and doesn't take long to organise either.
Sounds perfect! xo
DeleteI really love the photographs you've taken, those acrylic containers are so handy and make everything look so neat and orderly :) Definitely need to invest in something like this. I store most of my makeup in little wooden baskets on top of my draws along with my perfumes and creams :)

This is such a cute container I love how simple it looks and I bet it's easy to clean!
ReplyDeleteI just have a 3 pocketed hanging make up to separate hair, brushes and make up
somlclr.blogspot.co.uk
Yes, exactly, very simple & easy to clean - important huh! Your storage sounds ideal :)
DeleteThe acrylic with the make up is a good creation. It's really look nice
