My friend and I took a road trip down to London last Wednesday. I try to visit at least once a year, to mooch around, take in an exhibition or visit shops that we don't have in Manchester - thanks Olivia for helping me locate Forever 21! I couldn't believe how hot it was - 26 degrees with clear blue skies. We played tourists for the day by taking a two hour open top bus tour, forty minute river cruise and trip up the Westminster Cathedral Tower to view the skyline. I was chuffed to tick off one of my 30 Before 30 when we dropped in at Anthropologie! We ended the day eating at Harry Morgan in St John's Wood.

What are your favourite things to do whilst in London? Any recommendations to share for when I next visit? Leave a comment and tell all!

Most of my family live in London so whenever we go down I try to go into the centre for a bit. I love going there but I wouldn't want to live there. :)

ReplyDeleteI live pretty near London actually. I'd recommend the next time you visit to go to Brick Lane - when the market is on. Even when its not there are so many cutesy vintage shops and the whole experience is great. Also covent garden is lovely if you havnt been there before, nice restaurants and things :)
ReplyDeleteThen of course you could always visit for the night and go to a couple of bars!! Londons epic for that ;) Pictures are beaut
I love London but don't think I could live there. I love food markets - Borough market is a really good one, great atmosphere :) love Covent Garden on a weekend, Chinatown for some yummy food x
ReplyDeleteaww this makes me miss London! Such nice pictures! When I visited last winter, we stumbled across "little venice" close to the warwick station. Such a nice little place without huge crowds.

One of my favourite things to do in London is to just wander around the streets and take in the sights and sounds. Remember to look upwards, you see so many fascinating things further up and on top of the buildings.

East London is my favourite part of London, from Brick Lane to Broadway Market and Colombia Road Flower Market on a Sunday. There are so many fun and interesting things to see/do and the street fashion is the best!!

i love London! I recently went there to take photography pictures and absolutely fell in love with the place. I am from Canada and I can officially say they are nicer than Canadians there. Everything was perfect!
ReplyDeleteLondon is by far my favourite city! I adore the culture and the busy hustle and bustle! The shopping is amazing and I just feel so at home in the cosmopolitan atmosphere! I always stay in one of the serviced apartments london has to offer - usually as close to convent garden or knightsbridge I can get!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos have made me really want to go shopping! It looks like you had a really nice day! and so lucky to get the sunshine! :)
Oh also if you go again, make sure you explore convent garden - it has some great little boutiques and gorgeous delis!! :)
