Those of you who've been reading for some time will know that my boyfriend and I share a small one bedroom apartment in a lovely area of Manchester. I like the interior of our flat and the location is pretty awesome but we have the neighbours from hell and a distinct lack of storage. I literally happy danced when my bathroom cabinet was installed. After consistently tripping over 'stuff' for weeks on end I'm yearning for another storage heaven 'high'. I can't think of a way to make it happen here so we actually looked at a proper house today (see my 30 Before 30 - that's on the list!). I daren't say anymore just yet as I couldn't bear to jinx it. I'm in la-la land just now, dreaming about storage, storage and more storage...

ReplyDeleteNice selection of storage examples there. I really like the bookshelf one with a yellow background, it's such a simple idea but it almost makes the bookcase an art feature. It's going to be a long time till I get my own house but thank you for the inspiration :) xxx

ReplyDeleteMy fiancé and I lived in a poky little flat for 2 years and there clothes and mess everywhere because there was NO WHERE for storage! It's so lovely to move to a house with space! We were giggling like children when we bought our house and it had 4 huge wardrobes as well as plenty of space for chest of drawers. No more mess! Hope everything goes to plan with your house hunting. xxx

ReplyDeleteI'm the same- one bedroom flat with my boyfriend (in London though not Manchester). Rental prices here are ridiculous. I saw your 'storage solutions' on pinterest and they all look great. Even though where we live now is too small I always have to remember it's better than when we first lived together in a tiny little room in Venezuela!! Although that only cost us $50 a month! ha! happy house hunting! xx
