Although my Primark shopping trips have been few and far between this year, it's still fun to see what they come up with. The summer look book has just been released and as per the brand's usual form there really are some stand out pieces (amongst several questionable choices).
This shoot is by far the most glamourous I've seen from Primark - a fantastic sunshine location and some amazing statement designs. I'm in love with the colour block series pictured above. I'm all about the bright colours this season and I'm impressed with Primark's take on it. It's a shame several of the nicest dresses in the new collection are cut to a midi-length - a trend I definitely won't be partaking in and one that is almost universally unflattering.
The white dress on the right looks so pretty but I just know the poor quality fabric will let it down; not to mention make it way too hot for the climate it would look best in (bright sunshine and cloudless skies).I definitely don't think you need to spend a fortune on a cute maxi dress - there are so many amazing options in the high street stores. I particularly love the simplicity of the royal blue maxi. The neckline looks super flattering.
Regardless of what I've seen here, I know for sure that I'll be skipping down to Primark for their £5 mini print dresses (perfect over leggings if the weather doesn't permit bare legs), £12 wedge sandals and beach coverups. I'm still a fan! You can check out the previous look books here:♥ Autumn 2010 / Winter 2010

ReplyDeleteI will take that yellow bag please!! And I'm excited to see the ikea revamp unveil--thinking of doing one myself and need ideas!
ReplyDeletePrimark are constantly surprising me with their new ranges. Although the quality isn't always amazing, they're still charging decent enough prices. I've got my eye on the bright yellow satchel and the nude pink shorts, I'll definitely be popping into Primark to grab some bargains!
ReplyDeleteI've just found your page through bloglovin - it's great! Lovely when people talk about Primark - even the snobbiest of fashionistas need to admit you can find gems in there :) I did a posting on the seaside dress

Oh, wow! I really want the grey skirt!
ReplyDeleteI just bought the grey and mustard skirt when I was down in London last weekend. Love love love it :) Sometimes I'm so disappointed when I see their clothes up close but this little baby is so pretty :) xxx
ReplyDeleteI bought the green floral maxi dress for a wedding. Spent more money than I paid for it getting it tailored to fit my big boobs and shorts legs but it looks amazing, fits perfectly and still cost me less than £40! Will be wearing it all summer!
