1. My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. For my UK readers this crazy show requires no introduction. For those of you outside the British isles all i can say is - you are missing out on some insane Tuesday evening entertainment. Wowza.2. Ear plugs. Those of you who follow me on twitter will know that I'm having a little trouble with noisy neighbours (is my flat cursed?). I finally caved and bought ear plugs - even though i think they're weird and unnatural. But. They help. So it's all good.3. Airport reunions. My lovely man has just enjoyed a holiday away skiing in the Alps, so this week brought quite an emotional reunion at Terminal 3 Manchester airport. There's nothing like a little bit of absence to make the heart grow fonder. On a side note - how do you girls in long distance relationships do it? I couldn't!4. Swiss chocolate. My chap bought this scrumptious chocolate back from aforementioned french ski resort. needless to say it didn't last long. Nor did i share it. Yum. Yum. Yum.5. Frozen River - DVD rental. I had a really strange experience on Sunday. I stepped inside a Blockbuster video store for the first time in years. It comes as no surprise that the company is reportedly in trouble - the whole layout/concept of the store made selection near impossible. Love Film all the way. Nonetheless, the visit was worthwhile. Frozen River was dark and edgy and different. Probably not everyone's cup of tea but I love anything based on a true story.
And a few more honourable mentions:
♥ The big freeze is over (for now?) ♥ One Born Every Minute ♥ The sun is now setting later, around 5pm! ♥ Monday night supper club at love 2 eat ♥ Exciting hen do plans (my friend, not me is getting married!) ♥ NYC nail polish ♥ Green smoothies (more on this soon) ♥ H&M's spring collection
What now? Leave me a comment and tell me what you're lovin' this week! You can also follow me on bloglovin', tweet me or enter my giveaway.

yummm that chocolate looks lovely <3 x
ReplyDeletei have to wear earplugs too sometimes lol xx
That chocolate looks delicious! I'm in a LDR - its really tricky. He's up north at Uni and I'm on an unexpected Gap Year down South. We make it worth through trust and skype! Incredibly tough sometimes but it also teaches me to be my own person rather than just another half. Bet its so lovely to have your boy home though - enjoy! And know broken limbs - bonus! x
ReplyDeleteI really need to start watching My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding - everyone is talking about it!
ReplyDeleteThat chocolate looks yummy.
I'm a big fan of green smoothies so looking forward to your post on them :) x
i love one born every minute! my sister thinks im gross for watching it, but i think its lovely watching new mums reactions when they see their babies for the first time! plus the way they speak to their partners lol!
ReplyDeletemy big fat gypsy wedding also makes me LOL
i felt sorry for the little girl who was wearing that mahoosive dress to communion! it's not fair on her as it makes her stand out and have other people laugh at her like her school friends!
i was shocked too at how the boys 'grab' girls, then if they don't kiss them they twist their arms! :\ sounds like something you should get arrested for!

Reunited with the boy, yey. I don't know how people do it, I miss dale immensely after two days. PLEASE don't get me started on noisy neighbours, mine are either arguing, shagging or beating each other up, which is all GROSS and awful to listen to. I know what you mean about earplugs, but I might get some too tbh. Never had Swiss chocolate, looks yum!! MBFGW is out of this world and I adore one born every minute, cry everytime xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm in a long distance relationship and it's amazingly hard. It really does hurt! Makes you appreciate each other a whole lot more though (: Ooh, yummy chocolate ;) I'm in love with the gypsy programme. It's mental!
ReplyDeleteAhh Sofia, across the road we have a family who are constantly having arguments I'm pretty sure they lower the house prices LOL. I cry on average six times during an episode of one born every minute! I've already spent SO much on H&M Spring collection!
ReplyDeleteThe gypsy programme is awesome! A definite eye-opener to say the least! I did feel quite bad for that little girl who had that massively heavy dress on and was laughed at by her school friends at her communion! =(
ReplyDeleteThe Swiss Chocolate looks lush! Two things I'm lovin' this week is booking my summer holiday to Crete and Green & Blacks Butterscotch Chocolate! x
oohh chocolate is ALWAY a good thing! loving the list!

Yum, that chocolate looks really good!! I missed the gypsy programme, but I'm going to try catch it next week as it sounds hilarious. I hope your bf had a good time on his ski trip, mine would be so jealous as he's dying to go away for a weeks skiing but exams clashed with the dates he wanted to go. Hope you're having a good day :) xxx
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen my big fat gypsy wedding, but remember to catch up on that!! Long distance relationships do indeed suck, I can tell you that! But you just sort of struggle through it!! :)
ReplyDeleteL x
Ahh one of the dressmakers (think she's in one of the next episodes, made the bridesmaid dresses for the girl with the light up gown) is from my hometown. I really wanted to interview her for a uni project. The whole gypsy weddings/lifestyle is crazy to me, really interesting though. Hate that 'grabbing' thing though!
ReplyDeleteAnd awww, airport reunions are cute. That T-Mobile advert made me cry, such a loser haha. I couldn't do long distance either, can't even go a few days without seeing my man xx
All i an say is... YUM! CHOCOLATE!
ReplyDeleteLove my big fat gypsy wedding!!.. although i was a bit shocked when it said... The biggest event of the gypsy calender is the EPSOM annuel fair!!.. Epsom being where i live!! I had never heard anything about it before lol.. and apparently the church they got married at when the man kept getting lost was in epsom aswell!... xxx

Gypsy wedding was the funniest thing I've seen in such a long time...and Swiss chocolate is just amazing; Lindt= YUM.
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I are long-distance; he is in the forces which obviously means constant distance and never knowing when we'll see eachother, and he lives one end of the country and I live at the opposite! It's so hard but you're right, absence does make the heart grow fonder!!
xx
the longest I've been apart from my boyfriend is only about a week and even that was hard! I loved my big fat gypsy wedding, they're so OTT!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what My BIg Fat Gypsy Wedding is lol I'm soo behind the times! Will have to check it out. Tues nights are crap on TV anyway. Glad your OH is back and a present of choc is always good! As for ear plugs I first used them in halls at uni and I still use them today lol... I got too used to the silence and now any small noise (or Gary snoring) disturbs me! I couldn't be without them!
ReplyDeleteI sympathise on the noisy neighbour front but at least mine only make lots of noise til 9pm. It constantly sounds like they are running from one side of the flat to the other! I live at number 4 too :-/
ReplyDeleteI had a long distance relationship for 7 years and just filled my evenings and kept my weekends free to see him. Worked out well for me at the time but it came to the crunch when I realised it was always going to be that way unless I moved to him and that I didn't want to. We went our separate ways and I'm now in a 'normal' relationship and we live together and it's perfect!
I was one half of a long distance relationship for a year (the relationship was 17 months in total). It ended almost a year ago now (wow, time flies!) but I have never blamed the distance for the split (though it probably didn't help matters). It was difficult but being quite a naturally independent person I think helped (I felt I got the "do what you want" benefits of being single while still having someone to completely confined in).
ReplyDeleteI'm also loving the font you're using for your posts! Is it new or have I just only noticed it? x
I love Big Fat Gypsy Weddings! It's the most hilarious programme I've ever seen, even though some of it makes me a bit uncomfortable (is it just me, or does 'grabbing' seem a little too much like sexual assault?)
ReplyDeletethe chocolate looks delicious ! great photos
