H&M Spring 2011

I was confused to discover a thick and weighty H&M book in my mailbox last week. I'm sure many of you who have previously purchased online received one? My initial thought was 'what a huge waste of trees - why on earth are H&M sending me this? After all i can just shop online.' After sitting down with a cup of tea and perusing the pages filled with spring fashion I was soon day dreaming of sunny holidays and whether or not I really need another maxi dress.

As an ardent online shopper I was quite taken aback at how much I enjoyed folding over the corners of the pages that inspired me and circling items I might consider buying. Mail order seemed so old-fashioned - an outdated method of obtaining the latest fashions... or maybe not?

I'm sort of obsessed with the outfit on the right.

I'm going to give H&M bikinis a shot this year - the styles look flattering.

The leopard print scarf on the right (£6.99) has already made it home with me and currently hangs from the door handle in my lounge as I think of ways to wear it. I love how big and gauzy the fabric is and that the colours are so deep and rich.

Did you receive your H&M catalogue? What are you buying?

What now? Drop me a comment, follow me on bloglovin', tweet me or enter my giveaway.

  5. I got this in the post too though i've never ordered online, i thought they might be taunting me because i have no pennies at the mo!
I love that jumper/denim shorts outfit, it's one of my faves in the catalogue.

  6. I received this, and was really confused as to why. I'd personally prefer to shop through the shop istelf or catalogue, as the website is so confusing. They advertise clothes that aren't actually available for 2 months, and i stopped being able to log on after the first time I used the site. ha no more online shopping for me, will just have to go instore.
    I love the jumper! xx

  8. This looks great, I want one! Generally H&M bikinis are really good, just difficult to get your size in the tiny sections that are usually provided by my local store. I'm hoping to grab a few online this year though!

  9. Oh that scarf is lovely. It would look great with a black outfit, or black and camel.. I don't really go into H&M, although there are 2 stores near me.. perhaps after payday I'll give them a visit! Oh hurry up spring!!

  18. i almost like the idea of a mail order catalogue. the best thing is, you will probably know what size you will be in h&m already, unlike normal mail order, so will be able to shop accurately. i like it, i hope i receive one!

  20. Mine arrived yesterday but I haven't had chance to flick thru it yet. I think I would only use it or order online if I couldn't find my size instore as h&m are hit and miss on quality and sizing for me. Damn breasts! Haha xx

  26. I actually spent about £50 in H&M last weekend, and got quite a few bits for it! I've never really been in there before that, because for some reason I thought they were expensive but they're actually pretty cheap & do some lovely bits. I'll definitely be looking in the shop for Spring & Summer. May order the catalogue too. Love the outfit on the top on the right! Love the leopard print scarf too. xxx

  29. haha I'm a crosser when I got mine I sat down with a cuppa tea crossing everything, than what in and got completely different stuff as I could not find anything I had crossed haha I love that scarf, my bloke was going to get it for me but than could not get to H&M so may get it end of this month. I did have one similar that I left in the pub years ago :( I am with you on the amount of trees used, after I'm done mine getting in the recycle bag (I get a lot of pleasure from it) I'm a total freak. I need to calm it a little, my pet hate is not being able to put crisp bags in. Anyway hope your well kitten xxx

  31. I was confused when I got mine too, since I've never bought anything from them online HOWEVER I am subscribed to their mailing list, so perhaps that's why. I enjoyed perusing the magazine, but I had and have no intention of ordering online since I've found their sizes vary widely so I can't trust them.
My boyfriend, however, happily picked it up and promptly ordered a shirt with the 10% discount! Men eh?
