Five Bits and Bobs

Whilst I try to maintain a minimalistic life devoid of clutter, sometimes, the things you surround yourself with can make life more joyful. Five bits and bobs found nestled in my home...

1. Reading.

I get most of my books via read it swap it or as presents for birthdays and Christmas. the Dorling Kindersley Digital Photography Masterclass is the latest to adorn my bookcase - a gift from my boyfriend.

2. Wearing.

My perfume collection is small. But I love and wear each scent. having said that, I am running low and will soon seek out something new. The miniature bottle (far right) is a sample of Narcisco Rodriguez for her - a sultry, grown up smell that deserves it's hefty price tag.

3. Drinking.

Pukka herbal teas have quite the cult following. They're widely stocked nowadays so you'll find them in most major supermarkets, as well as health food stores. I particularly like 'Night Time' to help me relax and unwind for a restful sleep.

4. Smelling.

I crumble this wax (by Yankee Candle) into a burner - the subtle smell that breezes throughout the flat is dreamy.

5. Admiring.

I have several art prints which are all sentimental - some because they convey an important message and others because they depict a place I have visited. This one is my favourite. It hangs in my hallway and acts as a daily reminder. Simple and to the point. Live what you love. You can buy it on Etsy.

  1. Great picks! I've also got 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' in my collection. I adore your motivational print. I think it's sometimes the simple things in life that we need to be reminded of regularly. Ooh I adore the Yankee Candle wax, I think I may have to buy some next time my bank account allows!

  15. That book swap site looks like a good idea, but I'm one of those book hoarders. Even if I don't read them again, I like to see my bookcase full!
