You Know You're On Holiday When...

You go out for breakfast.

Eating out for the first meal of the day is not something I'd usually do in my normal day to day life, even on the weekends. but this is no ordinary week. Last night I arrived in St Ives, which is a small (but very popular) seaside resort located at the most southern point in England - just a hop, skip and a jump from France. I'm here until Sunday. I'll still be posting as usual but there may be a few St Ives related posts - you can skip over those if it's not something that interests you! This morning I checked out one of my fave breakfast spots: a cute cafe, aptly named 'Rhubarbs'. If you ever visit you must go! It's located on High Street.

I love that the interior is cool, but without trying too hard.

I badly want one of these tables for my new flat. I think it would look so cute in a converted property with wooden floors and white walls.

I was pretty much in heaven when breakfast arrived:

The granola I chose had a rhubarb and yoghurt base - delicious. I thought it was pretty neat how it came in a tall ice cream sundae glass with a long spoon to reach all the goodness at the bottom. My friend chose the poached eggs and they were the prettiest poached eggs we'd ever seen! More cute details:

{ Chunky salt and pepper pots }

{ pretty flowers on the tables and in the bathroom }

I'm so impressed with this place!

Have you ever been to St Ives? Have you even heard of it?
What's your favourite breakfast?
